The profile is generated on the basis of hourly profiles for typical days. A temperature dependency is added to the typical day profiles and the profiles are transfered to different countries according to country specific activity.
Using a daily average temperature dataset on NUTS2 level, the typical day profiles are assembled to a yearlong demand profile.
This profile is unitless and normalised to 1 000 000.
In order to use this profile, it is to be scaled according to the annual demand of the respective region (i.e. so that the profiles integral equals the annual demand per region).
