[Admin | Project template] The values of the Category (Requirement), Nature, and Type (Test Case) fields are not carried over if you change project templates with the same list.

Affected version : 9.0.0.release, 11.0.0.release, 12.0.0.it2

The problem occurs with the default (non-customized) list

  • when you want to switch from template1 to template2
  • if you want to dissociate the template from the project,
  • if you have 0 templates and want to associate 1 (with the default list).

We also have this issue with a customized list if we want to change and switch from template1 to template2, with the same customized list on both templates.

Steps to reproduce

  • Have a project with a requirement and a test case.
  • For the requirement, change the category. For the test case, change the nature and type.
  • Create two identical project templates.
  • Associate template1 with the project.
  • Change the category, nature, and type of the elements.
  • Go to the project and dissociate the template.
  • Associate template2.
  • Return to the elements and see that the value has reverted to the default “undefined.”

Expected result

The value must be the same as before if the list is identical (default or custom list).

Observed behaviour

the value has reverted to the default “undefined.”
