This is the first official release of my private git hooks! Even though it says "private" on the
tin, you are of course cordially invited to use and share them however you like. The "private" bit
mostly refers to the fact that these hooks implement my very own preferences and opinions.

Git hooks are a mechanism in the `git` version control system that allow you to bring your own
extensions to the default operation of `git`. These "hook" into various internal operations and can
run checks on certain inputs or repository states.
