Write simpler "to the point" quickstart

Currently the Quickstart requires a lot of reading and preparation to get started. Many explanations are not necessary at that point. Instead this guide could be more like a (real) quickstart that gradually evolves into a tutorial until it finally suggests the API docs for in-depths explanations.
