FYI: I created some templates for GSD5 on Tiddlyhost
See here. The idea of a template on Tiddlyhost is that users can click the clone button to conveniently create their own site using that empty file. My aim is to keep these current, so I'll try to update whenever there's a new TiddlyWiki release, and whenever there is a non-trivial GSD5 update.
To build the "external core" version I'm using this extra step in bin/build.sh:
( node $TIDDLYWIKI_PATH/tiddlywiki.js \
$GSD5_PATH/editions/gsd5 \
--verbose \
--output $OUTPUT_PATH \
--rendertiddler '$:/core/save/offline-external-js' 'external-core-empty.html' 'text/plain' )
Edit: Actually it can be done more neatly in the edition file, see !2 (merged) .
I haven't tested this one carefully, but I expect it should work fine. I'm a fan of external core TiddlyWiki for Tiddlyhost since it makes the saving much faster.
There's some scripting to make the maintenance less tedious which I can share later.
My motivation here is to let more people discover GSD5 and use it conveniently on Tiddlyhost. Let me know if you have any suggestions or objections.
