The problem concerns to visual recoil effect, when shooting takes place. The whole view quickly goes up and then down.
But the problem is that total displacement is different for left and right eyes (significantly bigger for right eye), if I use vertical stereoscopic regime. I used xonotic_linux64_sdl file.
Therefore my mind blows up, because eyes simultaneously see different vertical movement of the view.
This happens also, if r_stereo_separation is 0.

This could be easily done by removing the colour of the weapon icon and only showing the icon in grey. That way the user sees that the ammo if that weapon is empty without changing to it.

- No need for the download, install, configure hurdle. Appropriate Xonotic defaults.
- Team chat and positional audio.
To deal with bandwidth concerns, low bitrate Speex can be used, and voice could even be disabled by default with silent visual notifications that players are chatting.
This is a request for integration of a voice client. Server side can be handled by cvars to point to an existing voice server.

This could be fixed by letting joining players wait until the mapchange is done (so they get connected to the server and load the new map). The clients have to check out then if there is currently a vote or a soon mapchange so they can wait.

The main problem is that getaddrinfo() does not support any way to set a timeout, and there are few portable async DNS solutions.
This patch introduces a function LHNET\_CheckNetwork(). In POSIX, use pthreads to create a separate thread in which getaddrinfo runs (and tries to resolve google.com). If this operation fails after a (short) timeout (3 seconds, adjustable in struct timespec timeout), the thread is terminated and it’s safe to assume the network is down. In Windows, this uses InternetGetConnectedState, which will tell you if Windows thinks there is a working network connection.
In both cases it sets static flags so that we’re not repeating these operations for every DNS lookup that we do; just the first ones that the engine happens to run.
Right now I tested this in Linux and it seems to work without breaking anything.
