## Context We are now rolling out a new version of the Container Registry in GitLab.com that includes a metadata database (https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/5523). Among others, this database will allow for efficient storage usage calculations. This epic groups all epics and issues related to storage usage and limits management for the Container Registry. All these features will be first rolled out for GitLab.com and only then to self-managed instances, as they are dependent on the existence of the metadata database. The work is broken down into two: **storage** and **limits**.
