This epic outlines initiatives to improve our Project Import and Export processes. These issues are being broken out from the Short Term improvements called out in https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/1810. The goal of this epic is to identify and list architectural changes to the current Import/Export processes to build more scalable, efficient, resilient and potentially isolated workflows. A parent epic https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/2953 has been created to better define the problem of **Migrations at Scale**, where we will define the problem statement to set out a future vision for Import/Export as a whole. This epic is focused more specifically on improvements to the *current Project Import/Export* process. Some of the work listed here may no longer be required depending on the direction we move in.
