## Problem Over the years, we have collected a large number of banners & alerts. New users will see many of these during their first onboarding experience. The goal of the audit is to identify a number elements we will immediately remove or have to create new designs for. Second, the entire Product Design department will do an [audit of the first-time user experience in each designers respective product area](https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-design/-/issues/3070) to identify further banner cleanup opportunities. Third, we will explore a more scalable banner management system that ensures that we won't run into the same problems in the future again.
