## Description Bring Your Own Model (BYOM) enables customers to use Duo Agent Platform with models they host, and models they use through their cloud platform of choice - including Bedrock, Vertex, Azure, and others. This allows several deployment patterns to meet customer goals: * Ensure customers can run models in their fully airgapped environment * Ensure customers can run models using model providers they have certified * Use both GitLab-managed models and self-hosted models * Support compliance goals by enforcing data residency for model requests * Use existing spend commits with specific model providers ## Connection to goal Expand our market reach and total addressable market for DAP, which will increase the overall DAP usage and request volume. ## Scope Provide 2 separate SKU's: 1. **DAP Self-Hosted SKU**: for Self-Managed customers with an offline license, this SKU will use per-seat pricing. This will supported self-hosted models and will not include GitLab-managed models.   2. **DAP + GitLab Credits SKU:** for Self-Managed and SaaS customers with a cloud license, this SKU will use consumption pricing. This will support both GitLab-managed models, or the BYOM option, or both. ## UX outcome Customers can self-host models, use GitLab-managed models, or both to match their desired deployment patterns. DAP will be sufficiently flexible to match customers' desired model hosting and deployments. ## Delivery target GA in 18.9. ## Success metrics - Q1 adoption target: 3 active customers - FY27 target: BYOM supports 25%+ of total DAP credits
