Responsibilities: The Organizations team functions within the Tenant Scale team, meaning a key priority is to ensure GitLab tenants can scale properly. Within that focus, the Organizations team is building the "container" for tenants. Another responsibilities is for users to have a good user experience interacting with the Organizations setup. Vision: Customers we be able to utilize an Organization in an isolated fashion, similar in set up to self-managed, where they only see content relevant to them. The initial work to accomplish this will take roughly two quarters. Outcome: Net new customers will be able to adopt an isolated Organization from the start of their experience with GitLab. This includes changes to the UI. We will begin rolling out Organizations to self-managed users once proper testing is complete. This will provide a gradual user experience change that is less disruptive to known workflows. Additionally, there are feature teams at GitLab that will benefit from users adopting Organizations. We seek to roll out user facing Organization features in parity to all deployment types. Outcome: Self-managed users will begin to see changes related to Organizations. ##
