Beautifying our UI
**NOTE: Please do not add issues to this epic. Our current effort is to burn this list down to zero.**
For areas of the product that are highly trafficked and stable (mature features that aren't undergoing significant change), we must refine our visual design. High-quality aesthetics have a strong impact on user evaluation of any product:
* **Usability:** The Aesthetic-Usability Effect shows that users perceive attractive products as more usable, tending to believe things that look better will work better (even if they don’t).

* **Credibility:** Our brains subconsciously rely on two systematic modes for processing information: Automatic and Complex Thinking. Our Automatic System immediately looks for visual cues to determine the most relevant information on a page. If the most visually impactful info isn’t relevant, then users judge the system as less credible.

This epic collects visual refinements for our Visual Designer to address systematically (for consistency throughout the GitLab UI).
