#### Background After a research study has been conducted, insights are categorized and labeled as actionable according to [this criteria](https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/engineering/ux/ux-research-training/research-insights/#actionable-insights). Over the past year, we have been able to capture a baseline on the number of actionable insights issues opened and the number of actionable insights issues that have been addressed. How might we create strategy to address more actionable insight issues opened in 2022? The initial intention of AI is to take research findings and implement them in the application. AI are intended to be tangible improvements on the product as a result of research. With a significant discrepancy in the number of open and closed AI issues, there is a missed opportunity and potential risk on the product. #### The Solution Reduce the number of Actionable Insight issues first by understanding why the current process is not working as intended. An initial investigation will be conducted in Q1. This investigation will help us understand the personas, workflow, and most importantly blockers and pain points that exist today. Dependent on the results of the initial investigate, a strategy will be developed that will optimistically decrease the discrepancy between the number of open and closed AI issues. #### The Approach This will be a year long effort that will be segmented into quarterly objectives.
