## Opportunity The Rich Text Editor makes it easier for everyone to contribute by providing a real-time preview and live rich editing. Our [Vision](https://handbook.gitlab.com/handbook/company/vision/) at GitLab is to provide a platform that for all users, regardless of their technical experience. Providing an editor that does not require knowing markdown opens the door for collaboration and contributions from a wider variety of users. Additionally, as we have begun selling our Plan capabilities as a stand-alone SKU we anticipate more non-technical users leveraging GitLab. ## Challenges * Some of the Markdown content is stored in git repositories, some in a database. Some is meant for small, quick feedback (like comments) while others are meant for more long form content (Wiki).
