Users want to be able to search across multiple projects/repositories in global search
### Insight Users want to be able to search across multiple projects/repositories when looking for content. ### Supporting evidence Currently, the only way for users to search across multiple projects/repositories is by searching across the group level. There are times when users want to be able to select only a subset of those projects/repositories to search within. Although this was need/insight was captured for code searches, it also has value across the other scopes in global search (issues, MRs, etc). Since it would also be confusing to only offer this for code searches, this added ability to select multiple projects would apply across all search scopes. ### Action <!--Describe the next step or action that needs to take place as a result of the research. The action should be clearly defined, achievable, and directly tied back to the insight. Make sure to use directive terminology, such as: conduct, explore, redesign, etc. --> The URL should still be shareable with the multiple projects selected. ### Resources - :dove: [Dovetail insight](https://dovetailapp.com/projects/e7ae7dac-69e6-44c5-8927-fbf14cd5f8a8/insights/present/82d066a6-5fc4-437c-aa63-a93d9064ca22) - :mag: [Research issue](https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/ux-research/-/issues/1179) ### Release Notes <!-- What is the customer symptom we are improving?
