馃帀 How might we better celebrate top contributors inside of the project contributors page? 馃帀
### Problem to solve
> JTBD: When reviewing my contributions to a project, I want a visual depiction of what I have contributed and how it ranks compared to other contributors, so that I can celebrate my accomplishments and feel motivated to continue growing and engaging.
The current community contributor's page displays graphs of the top contributors. Graphs on this page are not easy to read or differentiate from each other. There is also no real sense of celebration in this experience which calls out the accomplishments of contributors.
- How might we make the Contributor page and graphs easier to use and read?
- How might we better celebrate and highlight top contributors so that they can feel a sense of pride and accomplishment?
- How might we better allow contributors to share their rankings or contributions in GitLab or anywhere they prefer (social media for example)?
- How might we encourage contributors to keep contributing, growing, and learning?

### User experience goal
- Users feel a sense of pride when they contribute to their project and GitLab in general and can share this accomplishment with others
- Users feel a sense of growth through their contributions
- Users feel engaged and invested in using and contributing to their projects and to GitLab
- Contributing is fun!
### Proposal
- [ ] 1. Focus on usability and UI polish of the Contributor page first https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/5345
- [ ] 2. Update components or docs as needed in Pajamas and create follow-up issues
- [ ] 3. Research the motivations and needs of internal and community contributors and how we can better support and celebrate engagement with Gitlab and team projects https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/5346
- [ ] 4. Work through UX challenges involved in the Contributor page as related to this epic https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/5347
- [ ] 5. Think holistically about other ways to incorporate learnings from research in other areas of the product outside of the Contributor page
### What does success look like, and how can we measure that?
- Track contribution numbers and see if they are trending up
- Track engagement on GitLab and social engagement as well
