## Problem to Solve Our goal with the current requirements management features is to enable project teams to move away from external requirement management tools, recognizing that the broader organization may still need to maintain these external requirement tools. In order to allow project teams to achieve the maximum value from GitLab requirement management, we need to allow users to [import requirements](https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/4347) into Gitlab, perform development activities with GitLab, and then, when complete, export requirements (including all of the attributes) back to the broader organization's requirements management tools. ## User Stories * As a user of requirements, I need to be able to export my requirements with traceability data as a deliverable for my customer. * As a sub-system user of requirements who imported requirements from an external tool, I need to be able to export my requirements and my trace data to the system level team for incorporation into their RM solution.
