Any open issues from this Epic were moved to https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/3203 This is a sub-epic of https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/153. In order to create a cost effective model for scaling Advanced Global Search we need to keep the index size under 15TB in FY21 and 20TB in FY22. We should track vague ideas of impact here whenever we add and issue or submit an MR that will reduce index size, so we can get a (very) rough idea of overall reduction. Note that percentages will probably be cumulative, rather than against a fixed starting point. - [x] https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ee/issues/10420 reduces index size by ~2%
