Add new languages to GitLab SAST
This epic holds requests for SAST coverage of new languages. Please file issues for languages you wish were covered by GitLab-supported SAST analyzers. ## Current plans We are not currently focusing on adding new languages. Instead, we are working to improve the experience for [already-supported languages](https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/merge_requests/sast.html#supported-languages-and-frameworks). However, we are likely to add more supported languages at some point. For current information our priorities related to language support, see the [direction page for SAST](https://about.gitlab.com/direction/secure/static-analysis/sast/#language-support). ## Alternative GitLab SAST is [an open system](https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/development/integrations/secure.html), so you can integrate any paid or open-source tools you use for languages we don't cover. Findings from these tools are shown in MRs and the vulnerability report the same way as findings from GitLab-managed analyzers, and you can use them in MR approval policies.
