Define canonical customer journeys and SLI targets for GitLab.com
GitLab.com supports a wide range of customer workflows, but we don't have a shared, canonical list of the most important ones — or agreed metrics for measuring their health.
This work may already exist in partial form across product analytics, UX research, support data, and stage/group documentation. The goal here is to find what's there, fill gaps, and publish it in one place so Engineering teams have a shared set of targets to work against.
**First deliverable:** A published list of priority customer journeys, each with:
- A user-visible description (e.g., "Review and merge an MR")
- At least one candidate SLI signal (e.g., MR diff page load time)
- A draft target threshold (e.g., p95 \< 3s)
Child issues and follow-on work will be defined once the journey list is established.
### Top 5 — SLI instrumentation sequencing
Note: Author a merge request and review an MR may already be implemented in [the dashboard](https://dashboards.gitlab.net/d/general-user-experience-sli-violations/general3a-user-experience-sli-violations?from=now-7d/m&orgId=1&timezone=utc&to=now/m&var-PROMETHEUS_DS=mimir-gitlab-gprd&var-environment-2=gprd&var-environment=gprd&var-product_stage=$__all&var-stage=main&var-stage_group=$__all).
