Personalized Home Page > Minimal maturity
## Release notes You can now access a new Personalized Home Page that consolidates all your important GitLab activities in one place, making it easier to pick up where you left off. This new page brings together your to-do items, assigned issues, merge requests, review requests, and recently viewed content, helping you navigate GitLab's large surface area and stay focused on what matters most to you. ## Problem to solve * GitLab has a large surface area, which makes it difficult for users to keep track of everything they need to work on. * They want a consolidated view of what they need to accomplish in GitLab so they can pick up where they left off. * The specific information users need varies by persona – though there's more overlap between roles than we originally though. ## Proposal Our first iteration will be a page that consolidates content we already have in GitLab to make it easier for users to pick up where they left off. This will include information like (but not limited to): - Pending to-do items - Assigned issues - Assigned MRs - Review requests - Recently viewed GitLab content - Followed user activity feed - User bookmarks ## Target personas This will impact all personas. Our goal is to personalize the content to meet the needs of individuals. ## Success metrics * WoW user retention for the Personalized Home Page * User satisfaction survey scores ## Go-to-market ### Rollout We've heard clear feedback from research participants that the personalized homepage is a superior experience to the current default page. We want to make the new experience the default for all users (with a prompt to restore the previous option if they prefer). We will initially roll this out to internal GitLab Team Members to get a sense of how people will react. If our internal team members disapprove, we'll reconsider our plan for the GA rollout. We anticipate this happening in the %18.4 timeframe. We'll allow one milestone for feedback before rolling it out to all users. We will collect feedback in https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/553938+, which we intend to link to from the personalized homepage. We will primarily be looking for quick wins and insights on personas that we were unable to reach during our initial research. Any larger needs will be addressed in https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/16659+. ### Communication * Internal Slack message before rolling it out internally * Release post item when we launch to GA (%18.5?) ## Disclaimer <!-- triage-serverless v3 PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THIS SECTION --> *This page may contain information related to upcoming products, features and functionality.
