We aim to migrate towards a **unified source of truth** for design system assets, documentation, and guidance. Currently, the design system spans three platforms: [gitlab-ui](https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ui), [design.gitlab](https://design.gitlab.com/), and [the Figma UI kit](https://www.figma.com/design/qEddyqCrI7kPSBjGmwkZzQ/%F0%9F%93%99-Component-library); each with varying levels of ownership across UX, engineering, and the design systems group.
