### Release notes GitLab Duo Chat just got a lot better. It now uses Anthropic Claude 3 Sonnet as the base model, replacing Claude 2.1 for answering most questions. At GitLab, we apply a test-driven approach when choosing the best model for a set of tasks and authoring well-performing prompts. With recent adjustments to the chat prompts, we have achieved significant improvements in the correctness, comprehensiveness, and readability of chat answers based on Claude 3 Sonnet compared to the previous chat version built on Claude 2.1.
