This is a continuation from https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/418331+ (Part 1) of effort to improve the CI Variables user experience. Our goal in this area is to provide a consistent experience across variables, and where possible, use the same design for secrets to enable an intuitive experience. For FY25, we will be focusing on issues in our backlog which have high upvotes that our team can reasonably deliver in the milestones dedicated to these macro improvements. Specific items will be identified during Q2. Listing of a child issue in this epic does not constitute a commitment to resolving the issue as we aim to plan ambitiously.
