## Context The lack of proper UI/API support for [Docker manifest lists](https://distribution.github.io/distribution/spec/manifest-v2-2/#manifest-list) or [OCI image indexes](https://github.com/opencontainers/image-spec/blob/main/image-index.md) (commonly used for multi-architecture images) has been a long standing problem, as reported in https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/10434+. With the reported bugs now resolved, this epic is a followup from https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/10434, which focus on improving the UX.
