AI UX Patterns
## Context
This epic collects potential AI UX patterns and plans when they will be picked up. The overall goal is to create an AI UX pattern library. More context in [UX showcase](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvxFImVQXpQ).
## Goals of an AI pattern library
* Consistency of AI experiences
* Reduce cognitive load for users
* Efficiency
* Designers can quickly assemble AI interfaces
* Designers focus on larger problems because the basics are covered
* Scalability
* Reduce redundancy
* Reduce bespoke solutions
* Quality
* Ensure special AI considerations are catered for
## Output
Examples of output:
* A Figma sticker sheet of end-to-end flows for designers to reference as they create similar flows (rough [example](https://share.cleanshot.com/FRgDxN8C))
* Guidelines for specific UX considerations relating to AI features ([example](https://design.gitlab.com/patterns/duo-calls-to-action))
* [Measuring impact and success of the pattern library](https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/14301#measuring-impact)
## How does this epic relate to feature-specific work?
This epic aggregates disparate pieces feature-specific work to incorporate into an abstracted pattern. The output of the issues in this epic is the **documentation** of the UX pattern, not the implementation of the designs.
## Structure of this epic
* **Planning epic** indicates which patterns are being documented in which milestone
* **Pattern backlog** represents all potential AI UX patterns to be documented
