## Overview The runtime update processes for our language frameworks are fairly high touch for the engineers involved. The initial epic, https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/8660+, covered the Go language only. After discussion, the working group's scope was expanded to to improve upon this and align all teams to using the same environments we use to ship GitLab. ## Goals 1. Reduce language runtime update complexity 1. Automate as much of the upgrade process as possible 1. Automate the audit-trail processes required by Distribution, Delivery 1. Document the runtime update process in the handbook
