Zuora CPQ Legacy UI
Zuora CPQ Legacy UI is currently in use by GitLab (as of 2022.09.20). In the future, we will be moving toward Zuora Quote Studio, which allows for the implementation of ramps.
In the meantime, the Zuora CPQ Legacy UI contains a number of limitations as of the implementation of Orders Harmonization
Subscriptions Amended Multiple Times: Duplicate Charge Display
As of Orders Harmonization, if a charge is amended multiple times during a subscription term, the charge is displayed multiple times when quoting during that subscription period.
Example Use Case: Subscription Term 2022.02.01 through 2023.02.01
-
Saas - Premium
quantity of 20 from 2022.02.01 - 2023.02.01. -
Saas - Premium
Amended on 2022.07.01 to a quantity of 30. - When attempting to modify
Saas - Premium
again, both the quantity of 20 and 30 are shown.
How to Move Forward
- The user can modify any one of the lines to the new quantity. If only one line is modified, the subscription will appear correctly in Zuora and will be billed correctly.
- Do not modify multiple lines. If both, or multiple lines are modified, the subscription will not send to Zuora correctly and the charge will appear incorrect on the invoice.
Note that this will be fixed with the Quote Studio Release
