User Engagement Initiative
- **E-Group Sponsor:** @akramer - **DRI:** @johncoghlan ### Definition User community engagement is important in creating awareness among various communities who become advocates of GitLab internally at companies down the line or influence others at said companies. The goal is to have a developer brand. The User Engagement initiative has three workstreams: 1. Build brand awareness with thought leadership and technical content to activate members of our community programs (Education, Open Source, Meetups, Heroes). KPI: active community members. 1. Launch Level Up externally, GitLab's enablement platform. KPI: active users. Q3FY23 KR 5,000 registrations. 1. Drive toward 1000 contributors a month using a marketing funnel approach. KPI: unique wider community contributors per month. ### Overall Goal Activate the community and drive them to become more involved in GitLab programs - community programs, certification, or contributor programs. Increase contributors to 1000 contributions per month. ### Working Group | Workstream | Leads | | --- | --- | | Thought leadership | @dnsmichi @abubakar | | Level Up | @c_hupy @nshah19 | | 1,000 Contributors | @cbacharakis @nick_vh @epetoskey | ### Strategy Document To view the overall strategy overview for user engagement, please search for **Strategy to increase 10x Community Contributors** in Google Drive.
