VERSION: 2.21.20090302.1418
DESCRIPTION
The rank alignment is incorrectly influenced when is ranksep gets under .25 See the enclosed example. When in this example ranksep is set to .25 or higher the rank alignment is correct again. Any value under .25 results in this extra vertical spacing because of the two smaller cluster's bottoms.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
digraph "test" { node [shape="box" ] edge [arrowhead="none" ] ranksep=.125
subgraph cluster_a { a1 -> a2 -> a3 } subgraph cluster_b { b1 -> b2 } subgraph cluster_c { c1 -> c2 -> c3 } subgraph cluster_d { d1 -> d2 -> d3 -> d4 } }
