Most recent stable installer (stable/windows/10/cmake/Release/x64/) leads to broken installation
Steps to reproduce
Downloaded GraphViz' stable release from https://www2.graphviz.org/Packages/stable/windows/10/cmake/Release/x64/ and installed it. Tried the following graph definition (actually one of your examples) as input (via "%temp%\example.txt" - see attached screens):
digraph D {
A [shape=diamond]
B [shape=box]
C [shape=circle]
A -> B [style=dashed, color=grey]
A -> C [color="black:invis:black"]
A -> D [penwidth=5, arrowhead=none]
}
Ran:
dot -v -Tplain "-o%temp%\dotout.txt" "%temp%\example.txt"
... in the bin-directory of the according installation.
Expected Behaviour
The according txt-file appearing in %temp% and command-line output comparable to my tests with an ancient version of GraphViz, as well as with the most recent dev-version (see according screens).
Actual Behaviour
C:\Program Files\Graphviz 2.44.1\bin>dot -v -Tplain "-o%temp%\dotout.txt" "%temp%\example.txt"
dot - graphviz version 2.44.1 (20200629.0846)
Format: "plain" not recognized. Use one of:
Please also see attached screens.
OS Version
Windows: I tested on Win7 (x64) but I heared of other users of my software (I'm the author of ProcDOT, which uses GraphViz for graphing) that they are experiencing the same problem with various Windows versions.
Graphviz Version
dot - graphviz version 2.44.1 (20200629.0846)
Additional info
I managed to fix the problematic installation by copying the file "config6" from the dev-installation.
