[Feature Request] Add an option to hide interpolated string status bar component if empty

Please add an option to hide an interpolated string status bar component if it's empty. I'm using one with a background color different than the terminal and when it's empty the component's background color still shows in the status bar.

  • iTerm2 version: Build 3.3.8beta1
  • OS version: Mojave 10.14.6

Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:

  1. Create an empty interpolated string status bar component with a different background color, e.g. red.

What happened: The red color still shows in the status bar even though it's empty

What should have happened: The red color shouldn't have shown
