Support for ALT+LEFT or ALT+RIGHT keybindings
The iTerm application does not seem to have support for the macOS + keybinding, which allows for quick navigation of typed text.
- iTerm2 version: 3.3.4
- OS version: macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Open iTerm window.
- Type in "hello there"
- Try to navigate left word by word using
<alt> + <left>.
- "[D" is printed on the terminal.
What happened: The + key binding was not recognized by iTerm and therefore printed as a "[D" character on-screen.
What should have happened: The cursor moves to the beginning of the word currently on.
In brief: ALT+LEFT prints "[D" on screen and ALT+RIGHT prints "[C" on screen. Support for these keybindings greatly improves productivity.
