Profile setting title=profile not working
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: 3.3.4
- OS version: Mojave 10.14.6
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window)
- Attach a debug log, if possible. Instructions at https://iterm2.com/debuglog
- Are you reporting a performance issue, excessive CPU usage, or a hang? Please attach a sample. Instructions at https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/wikis/HowToSample
- Are you reporting a crash? Please attach the crash log. Instructions at https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/wikis/crash-logs
- Are you reporting excessive memory usage? Please attach a heap analysis: https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/wikis/heapshot
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Open Preferences, Profiles
- Select any profile, go to the General tab
- In the Basics section, set Title to Profile
- Command: Login Shell
What happened: There is no title on the iterm window when this profile is launched. In the Window menu, it appears the title is an empty string. Either checking or unchecking 'Applications in terminal may change the title' makes no difference.
What should have happened: The Profile name should appear in the iterm window title bar and the same title should appear in the Window menu. I know this Title=Profile capability was recently added and after that it worked fine for me. However, I think a recent update broke it. Would love to have it back ;)
