Using ligatures together with underlined text makes iTerm extremely slow
Ok, weird one: If I enable ligatures (Hack Nerd Font Mono) and edit a file with VIM, where parts of the file are underlined, iTerm gets extremely slow (input lag > 200ms or so).
The only way to fix this for me is to either disable ligatures for iTerm or to edit the VIM colorscheme to not use any underlined text. Tried many different things, like disabling all VIM plugins, disabling Powerline Glyphs via iTerm etc. to no avail.
If ligatures are disabled, iTerm uses the new metal renderer (FPS are shown) and everything is fine, so this might be some issue that can't be fixed/won't be fixed, as using the Metal renderer is recommended anyhow?
