When connectivity exists, but DNS fails in the network, iTerm becomes slow and sometimes unresponsive
iTerm2 Version: Build 3.2.9 OS version: 10.14.5 (18F132)
Reporting a hang.
- Exit iTerm
- Go online, ensure L2 and L3 work.
- Kill your DNS forwarder or Recursor in your network. Ensure your machine does not have a backup for DNS.
- Start iTerm and try to use it.
- Voila, lots of delays. Both when starting and trying to type.
