After closing next-to-last tab, the last tab is briefly misaligned
- iTerm2 version: 3.3.0beta9
- OS version: 10.14.5
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Open a new iterm window.
- Launch vim and make sure to do
:set ls=2
so that the status bar is visible. Observe that there is one screen line underneath the vim status bar. - Do Cmd-T to open a new iterm tab.
- In the new tab, do Cmd-W to close it.
- Look at the first tab (the one with vim running).
What happened: For about a half second there are two screen lines underneath the vim status bar, and then iTerm2 seems to realize "whoops!" and adjusts things.
What should have happened: There should never be two screen lines underneath the vim status bar in the first place.
This also happens with e.g. mutt
. iTerm2 is not set to keep the window dimensions the same when the second tab is opened. I'm not sure when this behavior started, but it seems to be sometime during the 3.3.0 beta sequence.
