regression: Constantly asking if I want to close because bash is running
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: 3.3.0beta2
- OS version: 10.13.6
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window)
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Open iTerm2 3.3.0beta 2 and make sure that "Prompt before closing...if there are jobs besides" is checked, and make sure that "bash" is not in the list.
- Open a new iTerm2 window. Then hit Cmd-W.
What happened: iTerm now pops up a confirmation dialog asking if I'm sure I want to close the window, because bash is running.
What should have happened: It should not do that, i.e., the behavior should be like it was up through the latest 3.2.X. This new behavior is incredibly annoying. I could of course add "bash" to the exemptions list, but then there is a different regression: if I run a second instance of bash inside the first instance and hit Cmd-W, the entire iTerm2 window closes and both the inner and outer bash sessions are lost; formerly, I'd get the confirmation dialog for this "inner" instance of bash (but not the outer one).
