Feature request: Hide "Maximize Active Pane" icon either by preference or on mouseover
- iTerm2 version: 3.2.5
- OS version: OSX High Sierra 10.13.6
When using the "Maximize Active Pane" functionality (which I love, BTW - thank you SO much!), it puts a little icon/graphic in the upper-right corner of the window, perhaps to signal to the user that there are other panes in that tab that are not visible because the active pane is maximized.
Unfortunately, there's no way to disable that icon/graphic, and infrequently, it covers up relevant text that is rendered unreadable. See this example:
Personally, I'd love a preference (at least an Advanced Preference setting) to disable that icon/graphic entirely - I don't need it - but at least make it hide on mouse-over, so if I need to see what's behind the graphic, I can move the mouse over it to temporarily make it disappear and reveal what's behind it.
(If there is an Advanced Preference that controls that icon/graphic's behavior, I'm sorry - I searched and couldn't find it.)
I know this is probably more of an annoyance than anything else, but every time it happens and annoys me, I think "I should file a feature request" so, this time when it happened, I decided to finally file the feature request.
I love iTerm2 and it's a core part of my day to day business. I'd be happy to pay a bounty or make a $50 donation to have this implemented - at a minimum, the ability to turn that icon/graphic off entirely - in an upcoming version.
Thanks!
