Colour/Unicode parts of shell prompt not displayed with GPU rendering turned on
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: Build 3.2.5beta1
- OS version: 10.14.1 (also saw the issue in 10.14.0)
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
- Attach a debug log, if possible. debuglog.txt
- Are you reporting a performance issue or a hang? NO
- Are you reporting a crash? NO
- Are you reporting excessive memory usage? NO
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem: 0. On my Late 2013 13" Retina MacBook Pro (Intel Iris 1536 MB)
- Have zsh running in iTerm with a prompt using Unicode and colour
- Turn on Magic / GPU Rendering in preferences
What happened: The Unicode / colour bits of my prompt are not drawn anymore.
What should have happened: The prompt being drawn the same with both settings.
Extra: I could not reproduce the issue on my 2018 15" MacBook Pro, so I suspect it may have to do with the differing GPUs.
I can easily work around this by turning the GPU option off, but perhaps you want to know about this anyway.
