Command history entries often missing a single space and become invisibly corrupted upon edits
- iTerm2 version: 3.2.2
- OS version: 10.13.6
For several revisions of iTerm 2 I've been having odd issues with entries in my bash command history. I assumed it was some bug that would eventually be resolved. It hasn't been resolved. It occurred to me that the issue might be somehow related to my use of a single unicode character plus space as my bash prompt. Entering commands works fine. When revisiting prior commands in command history the command lines are often missing a space. See the attached screenshot (the original command was docker ps
but is displayed lacking a space in its history entry). The commands in the history are executed correctly if unaltered and selected. However, if I attempt to edit a command retrieved from history it's as though the cursor is off by one, and the command line becomes invisibly corrupted by my edits.
