3.2.2 (input) latency on Mojave
- iTerm2 version: 3.2.2
- OS version: macOS 10.14.0
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window) com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
- Attach a debug log, if possible. Instructions at https://iterm2.com/debuglog debuglog.txt
- Are you reporting a performance issue or a hang? Please attach a sample. Instructions at https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/wikis/HowToSample Sample_of_iTerm2.txt
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Launch iTerm2 with attached com.googlecode.iterm2.plist active on macOS 10.14.0 Mojave
- Observe perceptible latency on keyboard input and when scrolling, etc.
- Compare with same com.googlecode.iterm2.plist on 3.2.1 and earlier
What happened: There is significant perceptible latency on keyboard input, scrolling, etc. I'd guess ~200ms. It does not occur with every keystroke or input action by any means, and seems likely related to rendering thread delay or something of that nature. I cannot reproduce this on 10.13.6, only 10.14.0 Mojave. This occurs with GPU rendering enabled or disabled, attached data is relevant to GPU rendering disabled.
What should have happened: Input should be fluid with no perceptible latency as was the case in 3.2.1 and earlier.
