Record Terminal sessions (suggested feature)

I am trying to learn web development, and I often need to review what I typed and what worked, but sometimes I don't realize that I need it until later, or when I'm working with someone they will clear the screen.
There are some ways to automate it with scripts for bash history, but they don't seem to all work the same. There is also the script command that will do what I am thinking of, but I have to remember to do it each time and then save the file by a name.
I think that having a feature that would automatically save all shell sessions to a file that is named with the date and time and an optional add-on to the file name would be very useful for not just myself, but many others that are struggling to understand code.
Thanks for your time, Jesse
