Command + Ctrl on same key
Via my MacOS settings I have my
Caps Lock remapped to
Command. This works beautifully in Emacs by intercepting the
Control via the
(setq mac-command-modifier 'control), so that caps locks drives both the regular control hotkeys in Emacs as well as the command hotkeys in MacOS. I cannot figure out how to recreate a similar setup in iTerm2.
How can I make caps lock pull double duty in iTerm2 like it does in Emacs?
The goal is to be able to use
Caps Lock + Tab to switch windows, etc., like I do in any other Mac app, and also use
Caps Lock + p to rotate through previous terminal entries, etc. (rather than bringing up printing), as well as
Caps Lock + t to create a new terminal tab.
I think the solution is to change many of the built-in command hotkeys in iTerm2, but I am not sure how to do that.
- iTerm2 version: 3.1.5
- OS version: 10.12.6
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window)
