Man page ([i] button) does not respect man path, shell settings
I'm not sure whether we should call this an issue or a feature request, but here goes:
- iTerm2 version:3.1
- OS version:High Sierra 10.13.3
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem: 1.Tap [i] button in the touch bar for any command in terminal
What happened: A new iterm2 terminal window pops up which displays the default (BSD) system man page for the command (same behavior as Terminal.app), with no highlighting.
What should have happened: Desirable behavior would be for the function to respect the MANPATH variable set in the login shell. In my case I use GNU variants for a number of system commands (such as the ones in homebrew's coreutils), with MANPATH set accordingly. Typing "man " will bring up the correct GNU man page for the command in question, rather than the BSD version of same. In addition, my .bash_profile references my .LESS_TERMCAP file in order to obtain colored highlighting for various syntactic elements in the man page. Manually invoking the man pages in the terminal thus produces man pages with helpful colored highlighting. The terminal window invoked by the [i] button does not produce any highlighting.
