What happened: I woke my Macbook Pro from sleep. iterm2 was already running and I used my regular hotkey to bring iTerm to the foreground. Once I did that I heard my fans spin up and so I checked Activity Monitor and noticed that iTerm2 was using 100+ percent of the CPU.
