Unicode Chars in prompt sometimes get broken up and destroyed when window too small
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: 3.1.6beta3
- OS version: 10.13.3
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
Set your shell's prompt to something with a unicode character.
PS1="\h:\! \w "
Move into a directory that makes the unicode char move to and/or beyond the width of the window
Sometimes, not sure what the criterium is, the unicode character seems to be split into two parts, one part at the end of the current line, one part at the start of the next line, and this of course destroys the unicode display and displays the "unknown glyph" (see screen capture)
What should have happened:
The unicode char should be either in one or the other line, not half of it on one, half on the other.
