Trackpad Scrolling fails with Experimental Metal Renderer
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: Build 3.2.20180221-nightly
- OS version: OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 (15G18013)
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window) com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Activate Experimental Metal Renderer (came as default with an update a few days ago)
- Scroll up using the touchpad scrolling gesture (scrolling is set to "natural" direction)
What happened: Scrolling fails after window has scrolled back about three lines. Can neither scroll further up or down. Window no longer jumps to bottom when new text is typed in. Scrollbar seemed frozen at first, appears to work again after a moment's waiting but window contents no longer scroll. Resizing the window brings content back for the displayed scrolling position. Scrolling again makes contents freeze, resize again to bring content back.
Turning off Experimental Metal Renderer in Preferences also immediately fixes the problem.
What should have happened: Scrolling should work as usual.
