Self-updater should use system proxy settings
System Information:
- iTerm2 version: 3.0.15
- OS version: macOS Sierra - 10.12.6 com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Have Proxy Set up in System
- Have old version of iTerm2
- Open iTerm2 and it prompts to self-update
- Click "Update now"
- Update fails
What happened:
The update fails to download. I'm assuming that it's related the the proxy. Being a corporate computer on a corporate network, I cannot disable the proxy.
What should have happened:
Update should download and be applied.
Like I said, I'm assuming that this is due to the proxy settings that are set up on my system. I want to point out that I'm not having an issue using the terminal through the proxy. I'm having an issue using iTerm2's self-updater while connected to a corporate network with a proxy.
Let me know if there is any way I can easily kick off the self-updater again manually so I can get you a more detailed error message, or how I can get you any logs for iTerm2 or anything like that as well.
