iTerm2 preference migration does not migrate zero length working directories
By da...@google.com on September 05, 2010 17:51 (imported from Google Code)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Have a bookmark in iTerm that has an empty working directory
- Open iTerm2 (and let it migrate the settings across)
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The migrated bookmark has a working directory of "Home Directory" set, rather than an empty working directory.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Svn revision 97
Please provide any additional information below.
When the working directory is set to "", iTerm (and iTerm2 as well) attempts to open a new tab with the same working directory as the old tab. Note: You can not use the login binary as your default shell as it is suid root (and thus we can't get the current working directory unless we are also root).
If you set a custom shell, such as /bin/bash -il this feature will work correctly.
